Collective Fashion Haul: Topshop, Newlook, Boots, Dorothy Perkins and Wallis

Today I have a collective haul to share with you all from Topshop and Newlook plus a few buys from Boots, Dorothy Perkins and Wallis. Here goes.

Topshop:

My first Topshop purchase was this light blue stretchy top which hugs your body and flatters in all the right places. I think its a great buy as you can dress it up or down. Either way I love it and it was just £10.

_________

My second purchase is a dark purple coloured lose fitting top which is slightly longer at the back and pulls in on the arms. It's a really great fit and I think it will look great with a long necklace or a scarf later in the year. It was also in the SALE reduced from £18 to £12.

_________

The next item I found whist rummaging through the sale rail is a simple cream (near white) blouse with a cute little collar, buttons all the way up, longer back to it and a beautiful lase design across the chest. In the sale reduced from £38 to £18, bargin'!

_________

Next up is a little grey dress which again is a great dress for any occasion priced at £20. With the right accessories this dress can do for a casual day out or a restaurant meal.

oops for the lopsided snap here

_________

I really love this little grey top and I was so happy when I tried it on and it fitted well. I love this with my Joni jeans (from topshop) for a casual day outfit and at just £10 you can't go wrong.

_________

I also picked up this floral scarf and although it was £10, I do love scarfs and with the colours on this one I decide it was worth buying. It goes with so many of my purchase and other things in my wardrobe; I love it.

_________

Newlook:

I then went into Newlook and found these navy blue, high wasted shorts. An essential for summer priced at £14.99.

_________

Next up is this floral top. Now, I have to confess the price label fell out of this one so I can't remember what price it was, if anyone knows please say in the comments!

this picture does not do this top justice

_________

This top was something in the sale which I usually wouldn't go for but I quite like it and I am determind to wear it; I especially like the print.

_________

Boots:

I talked about 17 lipstick in THIS posts so I bought another one in shade pink power which is a brighter pink than my other one. I would recommend this lipstick.

sorry for the bad photography!

_________

I then bought some new sunnies because my last ones broke. I really love these (despite the sun decided to disappear now I have bought them). The colour goes with so much and the little bit of girly sparkle on the side is an added bonus!

_________

Dorothy Perkins:

Only one buy for Dorothy Perkins and that is these earrings reduced from £7.50 to £3 in a coral colour with a little sparkle in the center.

_________

Wallis:

Finally I walked past Wallis and seeing as they had a sale on and my mum was having a look in there I though I would have a look too. I came across this casual, coral jumper and though it was very me.

Any questions or recent buys to share?  Let me know in the comment and will get back to you.

P.S If you want to see any of these outfits being worn by me I will try and do some OOTD on my instagram charlotteeileen

My Favourite Nail Varnish This Summer

I love having my nails painted, especially in the gorgeous summer months. Despite loving many other nail varnishes I really love Rimmel's lasting varnish in shade 200 called 'Orange Your Life' which is of course an orange coloured nail paint. It also goes really well with any red lipstick that has an orange undertone to it; I just love the colour.

please excuse the messy painting skills!
Let me know what nail varnishes you have been loving this summer in the comments and I will be sure to get back to you.

The Pink Wheelbarrow

Today my mum, my aunt and myself went to a local garden centre as it was my aunt's birthday and we came home with this rather pink wheelbarrow.

I quite like a few girly things now and then and seeing as it was half price and the same price as all the boring more common colours me and mum felt the need to buy it (as we did needed a new wheelbarrow) and sometimes you have to be a shepherd and not a sheep!

That's all for today but hopefully I will be able to do a beauty and fashion haul for you all very soon.

Do Good, Feel Good

After chatting to a few of my friends I have realised more and more that people don't often voluntarily lend a hand to neighbors, charities, or sometimes even to those close to you.

It's so easy not too, but if you do something good for someone else it makes you feel good.
source
Every week I go to my elderly next door neighbour's house and take the full bin bags out the front of the house to be taken away and have a chat with her for 10 minutes I find it so lovely to see her have a smile on her face and knowing I have helped put it there. It makes me feel good all from doing one little thing.

Even if you haven't got a neighbour who needs a hand there are always charities looking for a bit of help. As well as you getting some good work experience you might just make some new friends and you will have certainly been a big help to the charity.

It's doesn't even have to be a set thing it could just be general things like holding a door open, smiling or just doing something nice for someone.

I will always believe that doing good for someone who appreciates it is also good for you. I truly believe in the saying 'Do Good, Feel Good', so why don't you give it go?

Stay Busy This Summer

It's the summer holidays (hurrah!) and its very easy to slip into the 'get up at midday, spend to much money and laze around' type of faze. Sound familiar? Thought so. Well, I have decided to write a list of 10 things to-do this holiday to try to keep some normality and to keep busy this holiday.

  1. get up and ready before 12pm each day
  2. do some exercise everyday
  3. catch up with all my closest friends
  4. blog once a week (at least)
  5. (attempt) to keep my bedroom mess free
  6. go shopping (yay) but don't spend to much money or buy things I won't wear (boo)
  7. spend more time outside
  8. keep my beauty and skin care routine going consistently throughout the holiday (I have been lazy with it lately)
  9. eat more healthily
  10. go on day-outs

Hopefully I will stick to this and have a productive break. Let me know what you are planning to do this summer in the comments.

July Favourites

This month I have been loving a lot of beauty and fashion related things so I thought I would share some of them with you.

Burt's Bees Lip Balm

So many bloggers rave about this product and now I will too. Its brilliant at keeping your lips soft and great to apply before your lipstick. I can't put my finger on what the smell reminds me of but it's gorgeous. Well worth buying.

Fit Me Concealer By Maybelline

I have been loving Maybelline's fit me concealer. Its great for covering up any blemishes and stays on all day. I bought shade 10 for my skin and this is the second time I have bought it. I have also found in this summer heat when I have been wearing less makeup I will wear this without any foundation if i'm not doing much that day and it covers up enough to keep my face looking presentable.

Seventeen Lasting Fix Lipstick

I have always be a bit scared away from bright lipstick but I have fallen in love with this hot pink lipstick by Seventeen. It lasts and applies beautifully and the shade 'Poncho Pink' is great for the summer.

L'oreal Retractable Eyeliner

I bought this eye liner a while back now and forgot I ever purchased it but recently I have been using it for my eyebrows and as an eyeliner and I love it. It's the perfect colour for my eyebrows and as I have quite big eyes black eyeliner is always to heavy on me so this is perfect all round for me. It is shade 300 by L'oreal and lasts all day.

Tangle Teaser

If you have curly or think hair this will be your new best friend. It gets all the knots out of your hair and you don't feel the pain like when you use a hairbrush on a knot. I would strongly recommend this, I don't know how I coped without it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

I have been super busy lately so this has been a life safer! I have never used dry shampoo before but bough it after hearing Louise (aka Sprinkle of glitter) raving about it on youtube and i'm so glade I did! Its easy to use, smells wonderful and works wonders when your busy and haven't got time to wash you hair that day. This one is for dark and deep brown hair but the do them for all hair types.

Orange Clutch Bag

I was in next and this beautiful neon clutch bag caught my eye (and the big sale label too). It was reduced from £22 to £10 and at less that half price I just had to buy it. It also has a silver strap so you don't have to use it as a clutch which I think is an added bonus! I think I will look really nice with a black maxi-dress or a black skater dress for a meal out or a party as it speaks volumes.

Rings

Don't ask me why because I don't know but rings have caught my eye recently and I love wearing them. All of these rings were bough in Matalans and Boots so where all reasonable prices. My current favorite has to be the large silver statement ring.

(apologies for the poor camera quality on this post)

What have you been loving this month? Let me know in the comments.
