Liebster Award

Hello everyone, I recently got nominated for the Liebster award which I find super exciting knowing that someone appreciates my blog that much to nominate me and its all thank to this lovely girl who nominated me, so thank you ever so much.

Rules:

1. You must link the blogger who nominated you.

2. You must answer 10 questions given to you by your nominee.

3. You must choose 10 bloggers (who all have less than 20 followers) to be nominated for the award.

4. You must then come up with 10 questions you would like your nominees to answer.

5. Once you have done this, you must go to their blogs and let them know you have nominated them for this award.

My questions to answer:

1. What or who inspires you? My mum, she is a big inspiration to me.

2. What kind of blogs do you enjoy reading the most? I really enjoy lifestyle, beauty and fashion posts hence why I write about them all.

3. Which brand of cheap cosmetics and which brand of high-end cosmetics do you prefer? I really love a lot of drugstore cosmetic brands. I always give own brands a go including Superdrug's (British drugstore's) own brand face masks which I regularly use and love. As for high-end make up I don't really go there as there are so many cheaper options out there that I want to explore first.

4. Which nail polish brand do you love? Rimmel and Barry M any day of the week but I really want to try Essie nail polishes as I have heard such good things about them.

5. Laid back or preppy fashion looks? Well today i'm wearing my grey dress from Topshop (shown in this post) but I do live and die in my Joni jeans (Topshop) and a casual top dressed up with jewellery if i'm going out but it varies.

6. Which fashion trend do you practice the most? I often keep it quite safe but again it varies so much.

7. What kind of music do you listen to? What is popular in your country? I listen to chart music a bit but I love anyone from one direction to Adele.

8. What is your goal to achieve in the future? To be happy and live a worry free (as much as possible) life.

9. Are you subscribed to any beauty/fashion/fitness blogs and you think we should check them? I am subscribed to Sprinkle Of Glitter, Zoella, Sofia's Journal and  A Thrify Mrs. They are probably my favourite big blogs but also check out the small blogs that I have nominated!

10. Where are you going on vacation? Do you prefer sea, lake or mountains? I might be going to Devon this summer. I'm a very outdoorsy kind of person so all of them really.

I nominate:

Now I know that's only two but all the other blogs that I love either have more than 20 followers or have already been nominated.

My questions to you are:

1. What is your favourite item in your wardrobe at the moment?

2. If you could only buy from one makeup brand ever again which brand would it be and why?

3. Why did you start blogging?

4. What is your favorite type of blog post to write? (e.g. fashion, beauty, life etc)

5. Who is your favorite blogger?

6. What kind of blog posts do you enjoy reading the most?

7. What is your goal with your blog?

8. What is your favourite shop?

9. Do you prefer red or pink lipstick?

10. What is the most high end makeup product you own and what is the cheapest makeup product you own?

Even if I haven't nominated your blog let me know your blog name so I can have a look and feel free to answer the questions above. I will be sure to take a look and leave a comment on the post if you do.

You should all go and check out the lovely Anja's blog as she was so lovely as to nominate me!

Recently on Instagram #1

Hello everyone, I'm thinking of possibly starting a little series to celebrate having hit a three digit follow number on instagram. Every few months I will do an update of what I have been posting on instagram in a few sentences for each snap I have taken. This is the first one and depending on what you think it will be the first of many or the first and final.

My instagram is slightly themed which isn't everyone's cup of tea but I usually don't have a great deal of exciting things to take pictures of! I post products that I would recommend and things I love (as well as the very occasional selfie).

If you want to see these pictures without the huge numbers on then click HERE.

1) Favourite mascara by Maxfactor, Clump Defy by False Lash Effect in black

2) New skater skirt from my resent shopping haul (post here) and my tanned legs in the sun

3) Clean on my shower gel by soap and glory (mentioned in this post here) which I love

4) A Toni and Guy bag that I got a few Christmas' ago that had some beauty products in but that I now use for storage on show in my room. What do you think of the bag?

5) Grey top (shown in this posts here) from Topshop that I love, love, love!

6) My ugly mug because everyone has a selfie on instagram, right?

7) A little painted tag with the quote 'happiness is homemade' which I think is so true

8) A yummy chocolate milkshake balancing dangerously on my duvet

9) And finally Soap and Glorys heal genius that I always rave about (including in this post here)

Let me know your instagram by following me and by leaving a comment on one of my pictures saying 'I follow your blog' and will be sure to follow your instagram back.

Collective Fashion Haul: Topshop, Newlook, Boots, Dorothy Perkins and Wallis

Today I have a collective haul to share with you all from Topshop and Newlook plus a few buys from Boots, Dorothy Perkins and Wallis. Here goes.

Topshop:

My first Topshop purchase was this light blue stretchy top which hugs your body and flatters in all the right places. I think its a great buy as you can dress it up or down. Either way I love it and it was just £10.

_________

My second purchase is a dark purple coloured lose fitting top which is slightly longer at the back and pulls in on the arms. It's a really great fit and I think it will look great with a long necklace or a scarf later in the year. It was also in the SALE reduced from £18 to £12.

_________

The next item I found whist rummaging through the sale rail is a simple cream (near white) blouse with a cute little collar, buttons all the way up, longer back to it and a beautiful lase design across the chest. In the sale reduced from £38 to £18, bargin'!

_________

Next up is a little grey dress which again is a great dress for any occasion priced at £20. With the right accessories this dress can do for a casual day out or a restaurant meal.

oops for the lopsided snap here

_________

I really love this little grey top and I was so happy when I tried it on and it fitted well. I love this with my Joni jeans (from topshop) for a casual day outfit and at just £10 you can't go wrong.

_________

I also picked up this floral scarf and although it was £10, I do love scarfs and with the colours on this one I decide it was worth buying. It goes with so many of my purchase and other things in my wardrobe; I love it.

_________

Newlook:

I then went into Newlook and found these navy blue, high wasted shorts. An essential for summer priced at £14.99.

_________

Next up is this floral top. Now, I have to confess the price label fell out of this one so I can't remember what price it was, if anyone knows please say in the comments!

this picture does not do this top justice

_________

This top was something in the sale which I usually wouldn't go for but I quite like it and I am determind to wear it; I especially like the print.

_________

Boots:

I talked about 17 lipstick in THIS posts so I bought another one in shade pink power which is a brighter pink than my other one. I would recommend this lipstick.

sorry for the bad photography!

_________

I then bought some new sunnies because my last ones broke. I really love these (despite the sun decided to disappear now I have bought them). The colour goes with so much and the little bit of girly sparkle on the side is an added bonus!

_________

Dorothy Perkins:

Only one buy for Dorothy Perkins and that is these earrings reduced from £7.50 to £3 in a coral colour with a little sparkle in the center.

_________

Wallis:

Finally I walked past Wallis and seeing as they had a sale on and my mum was having a look in there I though I would have a look too. I came across this casual, coral jumper and though it was very me.

Any questions or recent buys to share?  Let me know in the comment and will get back to you.

P.S If you want to see any of these outfits being worn by me I will try and do some OOTD on my instagram charlotteeileen
